Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

GENERAL

  • Jurnal Pendidikan Matematik (ISSN: 2231-9425) is published twice a year. Submission of article is ongoing, no deadlines.
  • Manuscript submitted to the journal for publication should be an original contribution and must not have been previously published or is under consideration simultaneously by any other publications.
  • Manuscript can be written either in Malay or English
  • Poorly prepared and unnecessarily lengthy manuscripts have less chance of being accepted. For non-English speaking authors it is highly recommended to put their manuscripts for English language editing before submission. Manuscripts with poor English standard will be rejected before evaluation.
  • The manuscript should be arranged as follows: Title, Author’s name, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion and Conclusion, References .
  • Upon final publication, an issue will be made available online at: http://www.jupema.org . Corresponding author will receive only PDF; no hard copies will be supplied.


FORMAT AND STYLE

Manuscript should:

  • be in MS-Word format (doc) with 12 font size and Times New Roman font style. Margins should be 3cm each side.
  • be typed single spaced between 3500-5000 words (excluding references, tables, notes, etc.)
  • have a title page stating the name of (each of) the author(s), plus address, telephone number, fax number, and e-mail address (of each author);
  • include an abstract in the language of the article of not more than 250 words;
  • include an English abstract of not more than 250 words;
  • have a key words (3-5 words) below the abstract;
  • include affiliation and latest e-mail addresses of all the authors;
  • furnish names, addresses, and latest e-mail addresses of two referees. 


REFERENCES

  • References in text must follow the author-date system. For example, Halim (2010) or (Halim, 2011; Yusof, 2011).
  • All the references cited in the text must appear in the reference list completely and it is  responsibility of the author(s) for the accuracy of all information given in the reference.
  • The references list at the end of the text should be arranged in alphabetical order.
  • Authors should follow the references of the Penerbit UKM Style or the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th ed. The references style adopted should be consistent throughout the manuscript.

 COPYRIGHT

  • It is the author(s) responsibility to ensure the content of the manuscript does not infringe any existing copyright.

REFEREEING

  • Manuscripts will be reviewed at least by two independent referee. Decisions to publish the manuscript will be based on the Board’s recommendations.
  • Manuscripts submitted by members of the journal’s Editorial Board are subjected to the same review procedure.

PROOF READING

  • One set of proofs will be sent to the author(s) to be checked for errors and it is the responsibility of the author(s) to submit the corrected version to the Editorial Board.
  • The proof manuscript is requested to be returned within one week. In the case where proofs is not returned, it will be read by editors against the revised version of the manuscript without the author’s corrections.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

    1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
